Couple, Individual, and Family Counseling

Volunteer

I have enjoyed many rich and wonderful experiences in my life through volunteering for many non-profit organizations. These experiences have helped me develop compassion for people from all walks of life. I have volunteered with Boy Scouts of America, YouthFriends, Parks and Recreation, Sidelines (support group for women on bed rest during pregnancy), LDS Family Services, MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault), and Hillcrest Hope Transitional Housing.

Listener

I am a gentle and compassionate listener with a non-judgmental style. I believe that there is always hope for couples and families to find greater fulfillment in their relationships. I am trauma focused in my approach and recognize that trauma has an impact on an individual’s ability to connect to others. I will work with you to help you understand and lessen trauma’s impact on your brain. My role as a therapist is to walk beside you on your journey to more fulfilling relationships.

Presentor

I have had a variety of experiences in presenting and educating about various mental health topics. I presented at "A Reason to Stand" conference in Idaho in 2015 and the KC Singles Conference in 2016. I have presented for ecclesiastical leaders providing education on mental health topics such as abuse and addiction.  I have facilitated depression support groups, marriage enrichment groups, and a women's recovery group. I recently facilitated a Hold Me Tight workshop and look forward to more in the future.
